London guide
You are in the most vibrant city in the world yet are stuck for something to do or need somewhere to stay. What do you do, and where do you start when that city spans some 617 square miles? Well now all you need do is walk a few hundred yards to your local 'phone box of the future' where you will find neighbourhood information, hotel deals, theatre tickets, event reviews and direct access to the products and services of 15,000 London companies.

BT and LondonMarketing, London's marketing and technology partner and the power behind LondonTown.com, have joined forces to create a network of 450 interactive local guides across the Capital using the BT Internet Kiosks.

LondonTown.com Kiosk Edition is now available on London's High Streets, train and underground stations, offering completely free access, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to a plethora of services. Local maps are tailored to the location of each kiosk, while users benefit from exclusive deals on hotels and theatre tickets. The kiosks have access to the latest event and entertainment guides including recommended restaurants, bars and clubs across London, and users can book their own private guide and chauffeur for a personal tour of London. You can even send, for free, highly innovative animated eCards.

Bookings made through LondonTown.com Kiosk Edition are in real-time and connect directly with the individual suppliers. This means that although bookings are made online, if you book a hotel for example, you can still pay when you check out at the reception desk. The booking and information system is based upon touch screen technology, making it as simple as possible to use, while the multilingual interface of the LondonTown.com Kiosks allows users to discover London in their own language.
