The BT PINPhone System allows callers to use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) instead of cash or a pre-paid phonecard.
The system has specifically been designed for organisations such as prisons who need to offer a payphone service on their premises but at the same time would need to administer a high level of security over the way the payphone is being used.
Other organisations may also benefit from the product features, particularly as it would allow them to control the types of calls being made, monitor the calls and store calling data patterns.
