The increasing demand for cash is leading to a rapid expansion in the base of ATM's in the UK. Based on BT's core competencies of installing and managing street furniture in public, high footfall locations, BT has developed an innovative proposition which help banks, building societies and independent ATM deployers (IAD's) to increase their ATM presence.

It transforms the traditional payphone booth into a combined 'BT ATM Payphone'. Our existing housing design, which has been already deployed with a number of independent ATM deployers and financial institutions, helps ensure there is no increase in footprint from the original BT payphone housing. This approach also helps to minimise any potential planning permission issues from local authorities.

BT can now offer a complete 'end-to-end' managed service from site acquisition, gaining planning permission, provision of kiosk and ATM, site installation and on-going cash in transit, maintenance and cleaning services.
